We had never heard of studio rooms until we shifted to Dunedin from Auckland in 2006. Since moving here we have purchased a number of centrally located heritage properties which we have renovated and furnished to a high standard. We now consider ourselves studio room experts with 17 studio rooms located over three different properties in a range of inner city locations - Royal Terrace, Queen Street and High Street. Studio rooms give you the independence of living alone with the choice of company when you feel like socialising while avoiding the liability of a joint lease.
Our studio rooms are fully furnished so you can move in with little more than your suitcase. The weekly rents, which range from $165-$245, include heating, gas hot water and power, Wi Fi internet and phone. Some properties have spa, car-parking and Sky facilities and four of our rooms have ensuites (a private bathroom attached to your bedroom). The communal areas are all cleaned once a week so there are no cleaning rosters to argue over. The bathroom facilities are never overcrowded because we never exceed a ratio of one bathroom to three people.
We screen all tenant applications and endeavor to find you perfect, like-minded housemates. No more hassles with flatmates not paying their share of the bills or accruing rent arrears that you are liable for. You are only responsible for yourself and will have your own individual lease. A one-off weekly price is a great option if you like to have know what your regular outgoings will be. Note: This price does not include groceries or personal costs. Our properties are ideal for post-graduate students and professionals.
